Susan is the founder/director of Honora and has been working in aging care services since graduating in 2000 with a degree in Social Work. She combines a natural efficiency with true passion and expertise. While working with the aging population she recognized a consistent need for objective, individualized guidance for those who are confronted with overwhelming decisions for themselves or family members.

Honora Care Management & Consulting was founded in 2011 to provide that unbiased, professional advice for finding and ensuring the best aging care options. She brings valuable knowledge, networks and resources from her experience working for two top facilities, Burke Rehabilitation and The Osborn. Honora’s team offers informed and affordable solutions and services to older adults and their loved ones.

In addition to her Bachelor degree in Social Work from Adelphi University, Susan holds an Advanced Certificate in Long Term Care from Long Island University.

Susan Keating is an Advanced Professional member of Aging Life Care Association, certified member (CMC) of the National Academy of Certified Care Managers (NACCM), and Certified Aging Services Professional (CASP) from the University of North Texas, a graduate of LeadingAge New York's IGNITE Leadership Academy and a member of the National Association of Social Workers.

Meet Our Team!

Cathy is our highly organized Administrative Specialist and the one who keeps our operation running smoothly. A versatile program manager with 25+ years in financial management, process re-engineering and marketing, she brings a respect for individual integrity and discretion working with older adults and their families in navigating personal life care decisions.

Susan Keating founded Honora Care Management & Consulting in 2011. It was and is a dream come true to pursue her passion for supporting seniors and their families. The company name has special meaning to its founder. Honora (pronounced huh-nawr-uh) was Susan Keating's grandmother’s first name. It means "woman of honor." Honor is the underlying goal of this company's work on behalf of older adults. It also pays tribute to a loving woman who was influential in Susan’s life and career path.
