Susan E. Keating is an Aging Life Care Professional (geriatric care manager) working in aging services since 2001, most recently of The Osborn Retirement Community in Rye, NY as Resident Services Director. Prior to The Osborn, Susan was a Social Worker at Burke Rehabilitation Hospital in White Plains, NY. In addition to her Bachelor degree in Social Work from Adelphi University, Susan holds an Advanced Certificate in Long Term Care from Long Island University. 


She is an Advanced Professional member of Aging Life Care Association, certified member (CMC) of the National Academy of Certified Care Managers (NACCM), and Certified Aging Services Professional (CASP) from the University of North Texas, a graduate of LeadingAge New York's IGNITE Leadership Academy and a member of the National Association of Social Workers.


Over the years, Susan Keating saw a clear and overwhelmingly consistent need for people to be more informed, to be heard, and supported when caring for the older adult in their life. This need may be for the individual them self, their loved one, a client, employee, neighbor or any number of other relationships. She founded Honora Care Management & Consulting in 2011 to help.

The company is dedicated to helping aging adults live their best life by creating customized solutions. It was and is a dream come true to pursue her passion for supporting seniors and their families. Services are objective, unbiased and professional – the third party so many are seeking.


On a more personal note, Susan Keating learned about the complexities of caring for an aging loved one at a young age. Her grandmother came to live with her family after struggling to live on her own when widowed at 79. Susan witnessed the challenges her mom experienced while trying to provide the best possible care and quality of life for her grandmother.  

Caring for her grandmother helped direct Susan’s career into Social Work and specialization in Aging Services. Recognizing the need for objective, individualized guidance Susan envisioned a company which provided a superior level of experienced, unbiased professional advice to families concerned about how to care for their aging loved ones.

About Susan Keating 

Susan Keating founded Honora Care Management & Consulting in 2011. It was and is a dream come true to pursue her passion for supporting seniors and their families.


The company name has special meaning to its founder. Honora (pronounced huh-nawr-uh) was Susan Keating's grandmother’s first name. It means "woman of honor".


Honor is the underlying goal of this company's work on behalf of older adults. It also pays tribute to a loving woman who was influential in Susan’s life and career path.
